Impressions outside the edition: *The MMA impression is not numbered, only signed dated and inscribed "To George Miller Printer." Setting: Although Fiene did not maintain a residence in New England until 1933 when he purchased a house in Southbury, CT, he visited and drew in Maine and other New England locations. The specific setting of this image is not yet known. Papers: Some earlier numbers in the edition are printed on heavy wove paper; at least two other numbers (19/40 and 32/40) are printed on japan paper. |
